    GRADES:  10 - 12

    CLASS FEE: $20.00 plus project materials

     


    DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:  Students will learn safety on all the equipment in the woodworking area and develop safe working habits on all of it.  They will be designing, figuring materials, doing construction and finishing projects such as gun cabinets, dressers, assorted tables and other projects of their choice.  Projects should contain at least one drawer and one door.   These projects should be completed at the end of the year.   Several demonstrations of advanced techniques will be given by the students.  Students are responsible for the cost of the materials they use.
     
    ****Grades are based on daily production and participation, tests and progress of individual projects.

    WOODS II                                                     VOCATIONAL

    GRADES:  11 - 12

    DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:  This course is a continuation and a more in-depth study of what students are introduced to in Woods I.   Students will learn safety on all the equipment in the woodworking area and develop safe working habits on all of it.  They will be designing, figuring materials, doing construction and finishing projects such as gun cabinets, dressers, assorted tables and other projects of their choice.  Projects should contain at least one drawer and one door.   These projects should be completed at the end of the year.   Several demonstrations of advanced techniques will be given by the students.  Students are responsible for the cost of the materials they use.
